Where everything lives.
A short map of Stedley rather than a manual. If what you need is not here, ask us — the questions people actually send are what this page grows from.
Getting started
- Create your company
- Sign up, name your company, and you are in. The 14-day trial needs no card and will not turn into a paid plan on its own.
- Invite your crew
- More → Team. Each person gets an invite code. You choose what they can see — a worker does not have to see your money.
- Find your way around
- Five tabs along the bottom: Dashboard, Jobs, Time Clock, Invoices and More. Everything else lives in More, and on a computer the same items sit in the sidebar.
Winning the work
- Clients
- More → Clients. Name, address, phone and email, once. Everything you make for them afterwards fills itself in.
- Estimates
- More → Estimates. Build a price from your own line items, or pull them from the Price Book so you are not typing the same rate twice.
- Proposals and acceptance
- More → Proposals. Turn an estimate into a proposal your customer can accept — by a link you send them, or with a signature on your phone while you are standing in their kitchen. What they agreed to is recorded and cannot be edited afterwards, by them, by you, or by us.
Doing the work
- Jobs
- The Jobs tab. Notes, photos, checklists and visits, all on the job rather than in your head.
- Calendar and scheduling
- More → Calendar. Visits scheduled against a job, so the crew sees where to be without a group message.
- Time Clock
- The Time Clock tab. Crew clock in and out; the hours land against the job so you can see what it actually cost you.
- Working without signal
- Stedley keeps the field-critical parts working when the signal drops and syncs when it comes back. It is a bounded offline mode, not a promise that every screen works down a basement — so it is honest about what it queued and what it could not.
Getting paid, and the books
- Invoices
- The Invoices tab. Raise one from a job or an accepted proposal, then send or print it. Stedley does not take your customer’s card payment — collecting what you are owed stays between you and them.
- Expenses and receipts
- More → Expenses. Photograph the receipt when you are handed it, put it against the job, and stop carrying a glovebox full of paper.
- Reports and the accountant export
- More → Reports. Job costs, a tax-year summary, and an export package your accountant can actually open.
Your account
- Plans and billing
- Account → Subscription. Change plan, see your renewal date, or cancel — cancelling stops the next payment and you keep Stedley to the end of the period you paid for.
- Language
- Settings. Stedley is in English and Spanish, and each person chooses their own — the owner writing in English and a crew member reading in Spanish is a normal day.
- Deleting your account
- Account → Danger zone, or the deletion page on the web. Export your books first: deletion is permanent and there is no archived copy.
