Support

Need a hand?

Stedley is a small operation. The person who reads support mail is the person who builds the app, so you are not writing to a queue — but it also means there is no overnight shift. Most messages get an answer within a day or two.

Or email us directly: support@getstedley.com

Before you write

A lot of it is already written down.

The help pages map out where everything lives — jobs, estimates, proposals, invoices, the time clock, expenses and your account. These four come up most often.

Billing, plans and cancelling
Stedley is in beta and nobody is being billed yet. When billing opens, plans, renewal, changing crew size and refunds will be set out on the pricing page, and you will change or cancel from the subscription screen in the app, signed in as the owner. Cancelling stops the next payment, and you keep Stedley until the end of the period you have already paid for.
A payment that has not reached the app
Once billing opens: open the billing screen and tap Check again. It usually catches up within a few seconds of the payment.
Deleting your account or your data
You can do it yourself, from the app or at app.getstedley.com/delete-account. Take your accountant export first — deletion is permanent.
A privacy or data request
Send it to the same address. What we hold and how long we hold it is in the Privacy Policy.

What to include

Four things, and you can skip the bug report.

  • What you were doing — "sending an invoice", "clocking out"
  • What happened instead
  • Whether you were on the phone app or a computer
  • A screenshot, if you have one

Never send us a password, a card number, or a security code. We will never ask for one, and we do not need it to look into anything.

What we cannot help with

Software questions, yes. Professional advice, no.

Stedley is software for running jobs, not a professional adviser. We can show you how to produce an estimate, an invoice or a tax-year summary, and we will happily walk you through any screen in the app — but we cannot tell you what to charge, how to file your taxes, whether a contract term is enforceable, or how to classify a worker. Those are questions for your accountant or your attorney, and getting them from us would not be doing you a favour.
